Watch my video below:

This adorable little unwanted, homeless puppy arrived from Wetzel Shelter in WV.  He is a purebred Dachshund who has had some medical issues already in his short life. He had a hernia & a cherry eye. Delaney had surgery to correct both issues & has been given a 100% clean bill of health & he is completely recovered. You can see that in his video below.  In keeping with his breed, he has also proved to be quite the little digger so we would not be able to adopt him to someone with a chain-link fence - wooden fence only ---  he is also very active & has learned how to play hard with the big dogs.

UPDATE from Foster Mom:
There is a picture below hat shows what a kissy little boy Delaney is! He always is bestowing his kisses on anyone who picks him up. I would not suggest adopting this tiny charmer if you mind getting little butterfly kisses & gentle nibbles on your ear! He is a doxie puppy that I carry him upstairs to keep him from getting run over by the big dogs here. While I'm carrying him his tail is wagging like crazy, he just LOVES people & all the while I'm getting kisses & gentle nibbles. He is just the cutest little guy! He is extremly sweet & has a very high spirited attitude.  He like all pups/dogs & just wants to be loved & cuddled every day.

We will not accept applications for anyone who does not have time to raise a puppy AND who has had personal experience at doing so.

Please note:  The bill for his surgery (picture shown below) came to $151.50 which we will have to pass on to his adoptive family ~  on top of our standard adoption donation.

PLEASE NOTE:  Be sure to read ALL our adoption policies prior to applying for a puppy/dog to be sure you meet our minimum qualifications to keep from being disappointed.  A fence is always mandatory - no exceptions.  If you are qualified you may apply online by registering on the website. You will be e-mailed a passcode, then you will be able to access our adoption application.

The adoption donation includes: All pups & dogs have already been spayed/neutered, housebroken, crate-trained, given all shots, & microchipped -

EFFECTIVE 2-12-10 -  We have a minimum non-refundable adoption donation fee of $200.

We also require an additional $100 which is a tax-deductible donation to the rescue to help absorb our vet costs. This does not come close to our actual costs but we are trying to help as many pups/dogs go home as possible. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit so we will provide a tax receipt for $100.00 with each adoption.

Every dog/pup adopted from us MUST have a fenced in property either Physical or Petstop Electric Fence.  Puppies under 6 month old can not be trained on a Petstop so they must have a physical fence. We do not accept any other brand due to their high failure rate. The fence must be installed or signed contract prior to us completing an adoption application. If you need an electric fence or need to upgrade contact the company Petstop @ www.petstop.com

We expect our puppies to be adopted into families that can personally raise them -- which means we will only adopt to people who have adult previous personal puppy raising experience & either work from home or part-time. We believe that puppies - like children need to be raised -- rather then left in a crate all day. If you do not meet these standards - please do not apply as you will be denied.

We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation. For ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, we believe a child should be 8 years old & up. We only adopt what we call our "BONA-FIDE Kid Lovers" to families with children. Many dogs do not enjoy children. You should only adopt a dog who LOVES kids to be sure you are able to make a lifetime commitment to a dog.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
