Abbee Rose has been adopted, Thank You!

Abbee Rose has been evaluated by the MYM Program & she's  a: Busy Bee!

I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire OR on your lap with you in the evenings. (Externally motivated)

Please be sure to watch Abbee Rose's video's below:

This is our dear little girl Abbee Rose's. Her *before* picture is below. This is how she arrived at the rescue in KY. She has has Demodectic mange which is non-contagious to other animals or humans.

PLEASE NOTE: After 4 1/2 months of treatment for mange we thought it was over but recently she had another outbreak. She is back in treatment, she takes a liquid drug called Ivermectin (that is the medication in Heartworm pills) and already improving. We're going to stick with the treatement for a full 6 weeks. She can be adopted but we just want people to know they would have to continue treatment which we would supply AND we can not guarantee it might not come back again someday. You can see what a horror her body went thru so she is a tougher case but well worth it. She just makes me smile at her cuteness & sweet personality every day -- she is a JOY!

We have also run up excessive medical bills for her treatment & we will require her adoption donation to be $500 - ($200 above our normal donation) which will go directly on our bill at the Concord Vet Hospital, Chadds Ford PA. In that we can provide a tax receipt for your donation since you will be donating to LnF Dog Rescue which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

She is not a normal lap dog. While she loves to sit or nap on your lap .... that is only after she has worn herself out playing & playing & playing! She roughs houses with Tiki & Peyton but I don't think she would enjoy being with a dog who was too big for her to play with. Her lifespan will probably be 12-14 years so we want to adopt her to a family who is young enough so she can spend the rest of her life with them.  ** We feel that Seniors -- should adopt Senior dogs so that they lifespan is more natural. ***

She is an apricot color with butterscotch patches! We had her shaved down to help with her treatment but whens she is completely well, she'll have a long silky coat. She is extremely sweet, soft, gentle, yet given her medical problems she is extremely playful! She's only about 2 years old Shih Tzu and she's only 12 lbs.  She is so active we do wish to find a family that will be able to provide her with lots of fun, long walks & lots of playing.

She loves to sit on your lap or lean into your chest & just cuddle after she has played herself out. I've taken her in my van on the front seat, buckled in of course, & she is a pure Angel. She also loves to run around in circles & plays hard with her foster family.

I can't say enough about how special our Abbee Rose is! You can see that her eyes are improving, she had ulcers on the eyeball of both eyes - severe mange, which of course we are treating aggressively. Yet, she lets me give her all kinds of med's in her mouth & in her eyes like a little trooper. She will make an exceptional loving pet to the lucky family who adopts her.

Her medical treatment has been very expensive to cure her mange & ulcers in both eyes -  so we will need her adoptive family to help us with the addtional costs. Invoices will be provided.
