PRAYER OF A STRAY
Dear God please send me somebody who'll care!
I'm tired of running, I'm sick with despair.
My body is aching, it's so racked with pain.
And Dear God I pray as I run in the rain,
That someone will love me and give me a home.
A warm cozy bed I can call my own
My last owner neglected me and chased me away
To rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
But now God I'm tired and hungry and cold.
And I'm afraid that I'll never grow old.
They've chased me with sticks and hit me with stones
While I run in the streets just looking for bones!
I'm not really bad God, please help if you can.
For I have become just a "VICTIM OF MAN!"
I'm wormy, dear God, I'm ridden with fleas
While all I want is an owner to please!
If you find one for me God, I'll try to be good
I won't run away and I'll do as I should.
I don't think I'll make it too long on my own,
Cause I'm getting so weak and I'm so all alone.
Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry,
Cause I'm so afraid God, that I'm gonna die!
And I've got so much love and devotion to give,
That I should be given a new chance to live.
So Dear God PLEASE, PLEASE answer my prayer
And send me somebody who WILL really care...

Our foster families must follow the same policies our adopters do, which are:
Any dog/pup fostered from us must have a fenced in property either physical Petstop electric Fence. The fence must be installed before we will proceed with processing an application.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at PetStop. http://www.petstop.com/
We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation in regards to children and pets. Although, they actually recommend the minimum age of the youngest child, for ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, to be at least 7 years old, we limit this policy to 8 years old.
All L&F dogs/pups have been:
Temperament tested and has been chosen for having sweet, gentle dispositions.
Temperament tested and has been chosen for having sweet, gentle dispositions.
Each L&F dog/pup is living in foster homes with families.
Each L&F dog/pup have been:
Crate trained
Potty trained - or paper trained if pups
Already SPAYED/NEUTERED
(pups under 5 months must be prepaid)
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On Interceptor (Heartworm medication) & Frontline Plus
(for the duration of their stay with us)
Complete series of Distemper, Parvo vaccines and Rabies.

We do not allow our puppies under 5 months old to be fostered
to people who work full-time. Part-time or work from home is OK. We do not believe in leaving infants in crates all day.
We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or Petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
