UPDATE 03-09-07 - I was so pleased to take my dear Happy Harry to meet his new family today in Bensalem PA. He met hhis new Mom & Dad and his beagle brother Buddy --- Buddy was very, very, very happy to meet Harry. Harry also has a new 2 legged brother Matthew. We are so Happy for our Happy Boy. Other then the (2) remote control incidents ---Harry was always a perfect gentleman and I loved having him here in my life.

Introducing our sweet, gentle dee-lightful boy Happy Harry. He was rescued
Christmas Eve by a wonderful and caring family in Middletown. He came out of the woods near their home nearly starved to death.

We suppose his owner had his dogs out hunting and Harry got lost. I can understand using beagles to hunt, but I do NOT understand how hunters could not at the very least, microchip their dogs who often get lost and left behind.

Take a look at the ribs on this boy. He was so lucky to have come out of the woods near people who helped him survive.

They said he was wonderful with the kids, loved their dogs, but 2 of their dogs did not love Harry.

Harry has moved into my home with his joyful happy self and he is just a dream. Easy going, calm, just a darling companion. He is happy to be in his crate, he has discovered the joy of the sofa.
He is just 30 pounds of love and sweetness. He is very submissive and just wants to please everyone.

We had him vetted and neutered and I even had his teeth cleaned. He must have been living on eating dirt - literally and his teeth were a mess. Now they are pretty again.

He is currently one of my favorite boys because of the light in his eyes and the way he jumps around and dances when he sees me. I must say, there are no humans in my life that are as happy to see me as my foster and my own dogs.

b>PLEASE NOTE: Please read ALL our adoption policies BEFORE applying for a puppy or dog. Any puppy under 5 months old MUST have their spay/neuter PRE-PAID through the adoption donation. There are NO exceptions.

Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence. The fence must be installed before we will proceed with processing an adoption application.

If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website.

We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation. Although, they actually recommend the minimum age of the youngest child, for ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, to be at least 7 years old, we limit this policy to 8 years old.

If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

All L&F dogs/pups have been:

Please Note:
We do not adopt our puppies under 6 months to people who work full-time. Part-time or work from home is OK. We do not believe in leaving infants in crates all day.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or Petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

We have several Petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
