Patches has been adopted & was lucky enough to "Go Home 4 The Holidays" to start her life with her new Mom & Dad in MD who intend to make her their little Queen.
I’m told Patches is a “Pomsky” which is a combination of Siberian Husky & Pomeranian. Let’s be clear about this --- any dog that is a “designer breed” such as a Labradoodle or a Pomsky is still a MUTT! Mentioning this b/c Shelters/rescues like mine are full of MUTTS!
Patches is a very special little girl & petite at 32 lbs. She came from KY where her former owners moved away & left her behind with no food or shelter. She was terrified & hid under a trailer for 4 months. She would not allow anyone to touch her but thankfully kind people made it a point to trap her. Once she was in a foster home with people she came back to being herself – a sweet loving dog & she plays very well with other dogs.
Patches was existing almost like a feral dog. She had to fight for food & that has caused food aggression with other dogs. That behavior is understandable due to what she went thru. For that reason, we will only adopt her to a very experienced dog owners. She will need to be crated or put in a separate room when she eats if there is another dog in the home. Other than food aggression which can easily be handled by crating her - she is a perfect adorable little girl.
She was a horrible matted, muddy girl & had to be shaved all the way down (photo below) The coat she has now has grown in & she will need to be groomed often to keep her beautiful.
She positively adores children making her an “LNF Bona-Fide kid lover.” We’re told that the only time she would come out from under the trailer was when she saw the kids got off the school bus but run right back under the trailer when people came out to meet the kids. We’ve seen her here when she is being walked & she just lights up when she’s kids. We would be happy to adopt her to a family with kids but they would have to be 10 years old & up & have been raised with dogs.

All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with three-year Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.
Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date with all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
