ADOPTED! Scottie met her new family today at my home. There is a video below showing how their first meeting went! I'm so very happy for her b/c now she will have a family which includes a Mom, Dad & three 2-legged sisters & brother & she will be able to get all the attention she craves.

She will be my 549th adoption since LNF Dog Rescue was founded February 24, 2004. I would also like to say that all of my adoptable rescued dogs are as sweet & friendly as Scottie.

**Be sure to watch Scottie training videos & playtime below. She is doing really well with her training & eager to learn. She has proven to be a "Bona-Fide Kid Lover & love kitties too -- video below**

Scottie's Meet Your Match Designation is Busy Bee  I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.

Scottie is such a great girl. She's beautiful, tall, lanky, very affectionate as you can see. She just wants to sit next to you & hold hands! She has the whole package -- loves people, loves kids & thinks cats are very interesting.

Her name fits her perfectly because her patches are exactly the color of butterscotch! Now that she’s been professionally groomed --- under all the dirt from her former home in KY -- we found she has a soft, lovely shiny white.

We have a professional dog trainer who comes twice a week & she works with all the dogs to teach basic training & leash manners. I’m told she is doing very well. When she is out walking in the neighborhood people remark how pretty she is & that is very true.  She has also been trained to walk well on a leash so she won't drag you down the street!

Winter is not my favorite season to be sure but Scottie loves it. We have numerous large water bowls out back & I when I have to break up the ice she goes crazy with joy. She runs around with her ice chunks as if they are a true treasure!

Scottie is an odd combo of breeds, she seems to have some Lab, Hound & a touch of Bloodhound due to her droopy eyes but I think her primary breed is an English Coonhound.

She also has a delightful personality, very playful, sweet & loves people & especially loves other dogs.  She can amuse herself all day playing with all her foster siblings.

There is a video below showing her playing with her favorite toy a rope. You can see she is trying to get the other dogs to engage with a good tug-of-war game but if they don't feel like it -- I've seen her just play with her ropes alone. Since ropes & tug-of-war are her favorite thing to do, hoping she can be adopted into a home with another young dog so they play together. There is also a video of her playing with one of her foster siblings Sapphire.

Her legs are still gangly & she still kind of trips over them but as she matures I’m sure she’ll a very graceful young dog. She's a big girl, long, tall & lean and she should be about 60 lbs full grown. So, if you love big beautiful dogs maybe Scottie is the girl for you.

If she sounds like the kind of large young girl you would love to bring into your life, be sure to read our adoption requirements on the left side of our website & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply online, also on the left side.

We accept or credit cards & PayPal for the adoption fee
