ADOPTED!! My most beautiful hound has gone home to become a Jersey Girl. She'll have Mom & Dad who hike & that is what she needs to get those long legs out there walking! She is our #536th adoption
Sapphire’s Meet Your Match designation is Busy Bee: I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.
Sapphire is about 1 year old, about 45 lbs but she needs to gain weight so she should be about 50 lbs. She is super friendly & loves people & other dogs & thankfully has no abuse issue.
She found herself unwanted in a shelter in KY. Over the years I’ve personally rescued about 150 hounds & I have never seen one with blue eyes. She is truly a stunning hound. Whoever adopts her is going to have to add some extra time when you take her out walking because people are going to stop you to look at her. She’s tall with very long legs and very graceful. She doesn't seem to have a DROP of Husky in her but where did those stunning blue eyes come from?? Somewhere down the line, she must have had a champion Treeing Walker Coonhound in her bloodline to be this gorgeous.
She gets along with all her foster siblings but what I see her do most of all is when she finds a rope-toy out back in the yard she just swings around & around, not just a few times but for a considerable about of time. That proves she can amuse herself. She also loves Kong’s & any kind of toys to chew on.

All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.
Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
