About Joy - Adopted! | |

Hello ladies, Just wanted to drop a quick line to the two of you to let you know that we made it back home safe and sound and that "Macie" (as my wife and the boys decided her name should be, although I've always been a bit partial to "FANG" :-) had a pretty good trip. She whined a bit about midway so we stopped, but she did not go to the bathroom, then we discovered she hadn't been able to hold it and wetted the towel in her carrier. No big deal, we had another and she was fine for the rest of the trip (I think she handled it better than I did - I'm too old and stiff for such long car rides!). Attached are a few quick pictures I took of Macie +/- the boys upon getting home. They're not the best photos, but I'm still getting the hang of our new digital camera, so hopefully there will be some better ones later. Macie's sacked out on the carpet next to me here at the computer, and now that the boys are in bed I'm starting to think along the same lines myself, so will close this note up for now. Thanks again so much for all your help and good work, we really do appreciate it and think we got a gem of a pet that we will enjoy for years to come! Cheers, John, Pat, Thomas, Pete, and MACIE! NOTE: This family drove from Fishkill NY to DE to adopt this little beauty. The power of Petfinder! *********************************************************** Hello there, my name is Joy! I am an adorable little girl with a petite little face and big old paws. I can't remember what my mom and dad looked like, so my new foster mom is only guessing at my lineage--some people thought that I might have some dachshund mixed in there too, but I can't be sure. I am about 4-5 months old, I'm not really sure, as my young life has been very busy and it is hard to keep track -- I was taken from a shelter and placed into a loving foster home recently, so it has been a hectic time for me. I am a docile little girl who enjoys playtime just as much as the next girl, but I also like to just lounge around and have quiet time (preferably while snuggled up next to you). I enjoy the company of other dogs, of course, but some of these pups around here can be a bit rammy, and I don't like that at all--they are just too rough for a refined young lady like myself. So, if you have some extra room in your life for a sweet little girl like me, why don't you give my foster mom a call at (302)798-2760. While I am waiting for you, my foster family is busy making sure that I am happy, healthy and loved. They will also be making sure that they socialize me nicely so that I can be the very best addition to your family that I possibly can be! By the way, that last picture is of me in the shelter before I was rescued--what a sad and lonely place!
