The poor Mommy who was expecting puppies did have 13 puppies ... we're very, very sorry to report that they ALL died. She had such a hard life that her babies did not make it. We then were able to get one (1) only (1) puppy from another litter last week. I had many wonderful adoption applications and I will keep them on file for the next batch of puppies that come in. I did adopt this puppy to a Mommy & Daddy who can be with him most of the time. My feeling was that this adoption was in the very, very best interest for little Joey. This is Joey, a 7 week old Black Lab mix--at this age, it is very difficult to identify his heritage. He has the cutest little face--just look at that little nose! Joey is extremely friendly, with his wiggly body and his puppy kisses and is truly a joy to watch. This little guy plays hard and sleeps hard, and enjoys life to the fullest. He does get a bit fussy when he thinks that he has been left alone (even for a minute) but that is what babies do! He will not be available for adoption for at least 2 weeks, as we have to be especially careful with these tiny kids, but you are more than welcome to contact us and fill out an application.
Please remember that while puppies are adorable and snuggly, they also require a lot of attention and time. In the first few months, they develop the socialization skills that they will carry with them throughout their lives, so please be absolutely certain that you are willing and able to make a commitment to providing a puppy with the tools that it needs to become the best dog that it can be. Adopting a puppy is a 10-15 year commitment and we expect for our babies to live out their lives with our adoptive families!
