About Bella - Adopted!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
UPDATE from Bella's parents: Hi Marleen Bella is doing well. Wow, can she run! She is having a good time catching up with all the things she was not able to do the past few months. She loves to bury things. Just now she had a stuffed animal and buried it in my flower bed. She is excellent in the car, but still gets scared at some things. We took her to get ice cream and she was very nervous about that situation. Everyone who sees her says how beautiful she is. Of course, we agree.

I will send you some pictures this weekend. Good luck with the yard sale. Thanks again for finding us such a great pup. Karen

This beauty (which is what Bella means in Italian) has been adopted by a wonderful family. They were supposed to be her foster parents but they decided that she needed to live with them for the rest of her life. Happy .... Happy .... Bella! This is a picture of Bella with her new sister Sandy.

UPDATE: I had been fostering all these girls, Blu, Sasha, Hope, Lady and Bella. Bella went to a lovely foster home today. Very lucky little girl. She has a new family and a big, I mean BIG foster sister Sandy and even a swimming pool

This was written while Bella was still in my care. Much to my surprise they are all wonderful together. They all play ... and play ... and play ... and tear stuffed toys to pieces in the vigorous games of tug of war. It is a squeaky toy festive here. It is such a joy to see these "shelter babies" having the fun they were entitled to. It's so wonderful to see them alive and playing especially since they almost were not alive.

This proves they are all comfortable living with other dogs & 4 cats. This is amazing!! Each of "the girls" are sweet, friendly, extremely affectionate and a complete JOY to spend time with. They not only all get along but their is no food aggression with each other. My own dogs have food aggression with each other! They are also being taught basic commands and everyone has learned to SIT ... so far.

The girls are all between 9 months to 1 1/2 years old. They all have been Heartworm, Ehrlichia, LymeAB test tested, given 1st month of Heartguard medication, Frontline Plus, Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines, Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough and First De-Worming, Spayed and Micro-Chipped. They are crated trained and housebroken.

Now they just all need their own families so they can have all the individual attention they deserve. If you are interested in any of "the girls" please request an adoption application and we'll send it to you immediately.

Hello everyone, This is an extraordinary little girl has been saved from the Georgetown SPCA just in time! She is listed as a 8-9 month old and she is a black AND chocolate lab mix. Because of her breeding with black and chocolate labs --- Bella is a beautiful color of MILK Chocolate! I have seen her for many weeks at the Georgetown SPCA shelter and she is just SO wonderful. She's been there since 4-27-04 which proves what a great girl they think she is to have kept her alive this long.
