About Jed - Adopted!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
HAPPY TAILS!!! Our baby boy who just hit 25 pounds today ... is going home to live in NY! His new Mommies Teresa & Marcie are driving many, many hours to pick up their new bundle of joy! They fell in love with his picture and are willing to pick him up at our Mingle with the Mutts in Chadds Ford. We are very, very happy for our little man and know that we found him GREAT parents.

NOTE: We will be accepting adoption applications on our newest little "shelter babies" but they will not be available until they will make their *debut* at our next "Mingle with the Mutts & Drawing for Harley's Fundraiser" on Saturday, August 21 from 11-2 PM at the Concord Pet Store on #202 in Chadds Ford, PA 19317 - Next to Bruester's Ice Cream.

If you are interested, please request an adoption online and we will forward one to you immediately. You can e-mailed or fax back application when completed.

We do "prefer" to adopt puppies to families with children who are at least 8 years old.

This big boy is going to be a very, very big boy. He is only 13-week-olds and already has tipped the scales at 22 1/2 pounds.

We were lucky enough to rescue him and his sisters Chloe & Maggie as their owner was dropping them off at the SPCA in Georgetown.

It was a close call for these babies--as the shelter can be a dangerous place for puppies, whose immune systems are not up to the challenge.

Butterball is a gregarious fellow with big old paws that he delights in stomping around. He is the largest of the three. Even though he is a big boy, he is only a baby. Today he had quite a scare by the basketball that he found in the backyard. He hadn't seen it before and while he tried to be very brave and barked at it ... he was backing away the whole time. He does know how to play very well and especially loves big stuffed animals. His sisters went to their new wonderful foster home, so now he is here alone. Luckily for him we have a new foster sister Jade, an 8-month old black German Shepherd mix, so pretty ... and she has decided that he is a cute little guy and she plays with him. He is always licking her face and lips. Really very, very cute!

We are crate training the babies and working on their housebreaking. Butterball does let me know when he has to go when he is in his crate in the morning. I expect that he'll catch on to potty training quickly.
