ADOPTED! So happy for my little baby girl Dusty. She met her Mom & Aunt yesterday at my "Home 4 The Holidays" adoption event & I'm so happy that Dusty is getting to go home right after Christmas to start her new life. She'll be my 539th adoption & my 3rd of 10 for my goal to have 10 go home. I still have to 12-31-18 to get 7 more adopted -- right?
You can see Dusty's Mom & Aunt sitting on the floor by the fireplace yesterday in the video below. They got to see how adorable she really is & Dusty was very drawn to her new Mommy.

Dusty's Meet Your Match designation is: Busy Bee - I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a nice walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.
Please Note: Usually LnF requires experienced dog parents but occasionally we have a dog who is so well-mannered & easily trained that we could adopt Dusty to someone who has never had a dog before an adult. You would be required to agree to attend dog training classes just to learn the basics.
Hard to believe that this tiny, just 20 lbs, about 1-year old purebred Beagle found herself unclaimed in a shelter in KY, but she did. The area she came from people seldom come looking for their dogs if they get lost. They just get another one.
Dusty is so sweet, so pretty. very gentle, playful, Happy-go-Lucky & can this girl wiggle that butt! Dusty is not excessively vocal & if she barks there is a valid reason. You can see in her video's her pure joy of having toys to play with! She has been a pure delight from the moment she arrived at her foster him her at LnF Dog Rescue.
Winter is not my favorite season to be sure but Dusty loves it. We have numerous large water bowls out back & I when I have to break up the ice she goes crazy with joy. She runs around with her ice chunks as if they are a true treasure!
I'm especially delighted with Dusty, she's a little Angel & she is taken over the job of being my official "puppy helper." We have several puppies available for adoption here at LnF & Dusty has loves keeping them amused & out of trouble for me. She gently plays with them by playing tug-of-war, wrestling, teaching them the joy of a great Nylabones (she really loves them herself) & she is teaching them manners. When it's time to take a nap, she curls up in a ball on a blanket & they all join around her.
Dusty wants more than anything an opportunity to sit on your lap, keep you company watching TV & will even go shopping with you if you’d like. She loves people & she loves other dogs & when she lays down she does what we call "froggy legs" where her back legs go straight back, just love that, always looks so cute!
We here at LnF Dog Rescue adore our Beagles & Hounds and just love introducing them to people who have not had the pleasure of meeting one yet. I’ve personally rescued & adopted at least 200 Beagles & Hounds & I’ve found that once people adopt one --- they’ll stay with the breed & always thank me for introducing them to such fabulous dogs!
As you can see from the below, we have a professional dog trainer who comes to my home & teaches the dogs basic commands & leash manners. Christy said that Dusty is learning very well, is a star pupil & likes to learn.

~ All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in a foster home. ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crate-trained and have had basic training ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication & Flea/Tick year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ de-wormed.
Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase -- but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
Adoption Requirements : *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that do not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, NO exceptions.
