ADOPTED! Our baby girl met her new Daddy and has gone home to start her new life as his beloved 4-legged child! She is my #541st adoption since 2-24-2004

**Be
sure to watch Arlena's videos below so you can see how she plays with her older foster siblings**

Please note* In the best interest of our rescued puppies, we pick parents who work from home or part-time. Young puppies, under 6-months, require having new parents who have the time to "raise them."  We also require that to adopt any of our puppies, 2-11 months, you must have had previous experience as an adult of personally raising a puppy. We also do not put puppies in homes with children under 10-years old

Arlena
is about the cutest little GSD puppy I’ve seen a long time. She is very sweet, very affectionate, very spunky & all in all a very good little girl. Arlena is sleeping thru the night & we are working on paper training & she is doing very well. She is just getting to the point of when she is in her crate (which has paper) she is barks to let me know she wants to go potty - outside! She will be very easy to housetrain but that’s down the road yet – she is just a baby.

When our pups & dogs arrive from KY, I put the puppies in 3-week quarantine & the adults 2-weeks. Arlena will be able to go home 12/22 but you can apply if you wish.

I've noticed when she plays with dogs her size she is a *Miss Bossy Pants* so I'm going to say she may turn out to be an alpha female. She will not be able to be adopted into a home where there is a dominant female. She'll be fine with boys & submissive females.

She came from a very overcrowded shelter in KY & she was in pretty bad shape physically as is often the case in the area she came from. It’s a very poor rural area & people simply do not take care of their animals. They are not “pets” like they are to us. She must have been living outside & she was covered in fleas & sickly due to not receiving proper food.

I did have to board her an extra week in KY b/c we needed to be sure our Vet could treat her with antibiotics, kill all the fleas on her body. I have photos of her neck being all red & raw from being chewed on by parasites.
Our Vet in KY did give her a clean bill of health & she was able to get on the next transport.

Due to her medical condition, I did incur extra costs above my standard adoption fee. I have invoices that I can show to any potential adopter & while I can’t demand it, I do ask if possible that anyone who adopts her consider “chipping-in” on her extra Vet bills that I’ve already paid.

She still has to get two more series of puppy shots over the next few weeks & she is too young to spay. I spay females on the day they turn 5-months old. By DE law I must request a spay deposit of $150 that is 100% refundable with proof of spay. If she is adopted here in Delaware or nearby states, her parents can bring her back to me & I will have her spayed at the Stanton SPCA.

If she seems like the kind of baby you would like to bring into your life forever -- be sure to read our adoption requirements before applying to be sure you can meet or exceed our standards.

We do accept PayPal & credit cards for the adoption fee.
All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.

Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.

Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
