Do you love very smart German Shepherds & big dogs? Well, Erica might be the perfect match for you. Erica is SO sweet, gentle, extremely affectionate puppy & very, very smart! What a love-bug!
She is a "people dog" she just wants to sit with you & be close to you. Erica came from a shelter in Kentucky where she was dumped by her previous owner. They just dropped her & she became “unwanted” thru no fault of her. Clearly, she has German Shepherd in her, but I don’t know what else she is might she might be. She appears white in some photos, but she is several shades of a cream color with yellow trim. She is a lovely puppy.
In watching her interact with her foster siblings I'm getting to see just how smart she is. They have a "chase me game" where one starts -- usually Scottie -- running at top speed around the shed & make it around the whole yard several times. I just watched Erica figure out the game much faster then most. She started to chase after Scottie but noting it was unlikely to catch her --- since she is so much bigger -- I watched her DETOUR & took a short-cut & met Scottie when she came around. Usually, as they mature they learn that's the only way to catch a dog but she figured it out immediately proving just how smart she is. In my experience, GSD's are always so very smart. That is why they are used as service dogs with Police.
She loves people & adores all the dogs here & just wants to run & chase around like a little nut. My guess is she could go as high as 70-75 lbs. full grown. She is doing very well with her puppy training & crate training. When she has to potty, she lets us know.
If you have been looking to adopt a constant companion who will just want to be you and love to you & go everywhere you do – please consider adopting my adorable baby girl.
For young puppies, under 6-months, in the best interest of our rescued puppies, we pick parents who work from home or part-time. We require having new parents who have the time to "raise them'.
We also require that to adopt any of our puppies – 2-months to 11-months you must have personally raised a puppy as an adult --- We cannot adopt puppies into homes with children under 10-years old.
LNF does require that adopters of puppies must have experience raising a puppy as an adult & I would not want to put her in with small children under 10-years old. As with all LNF pups/dogs, she has all her shots, spayed & microchipped.
We do accept PayPal & credit cards for the adoption fee.
All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Free of worms.
Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so, it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
