My daughter brought her two puppies over and they all played well together. Plus they brought some stuffed toys for her which Lexie put in her mouth and carried all over the place. Just wanted you to know Lexie so far seems happy and is settling in.

Alexis is the our sweetest, most affectionate, smartest puppy that we have at the moment.

There are not enough hours in the day for her to bestow her kisses & hugs. She is so very darling that I just love looking at that tiny face.

I do call her the 'scaper' which is short for escaper. She can and does climb over, under, or around baby gates and seems to be able to open gates to join in whatever we are doing! She has shocked me when I turned around and there she is --- FREE! Not only was she upstairs when I left her in the family room downstairs, but she had allowed all the other pups to escape also!! The reason she is an escaper (I think) is because well, she is very smart, but mostly because she is a people pup. She loves playing with her foster brothers and sisters but humans have the most interest to her. When I am downstairs in the family room, she is content to be where I am. It is only when I leave that she has the need to find me. When she finds me, she just settles on her bed but is aways watchful of my actions. Alexis is a very, very special baby girl. She is getting tall and leggy with a deep wave on her back. She is going to be a stunning young woman when full grown which should range between 40-50 pounds tops.

She will need a family with LOTS & LOTS of puppy experience and LOTS of time to spend with her since containing her behind gates does not seem to be an option.

She is about 3 months now, we've already had her spayed and she is just waiting for the right family to come along who sees that she will be like having a darling, very loving, 2 year old 2-legged child for the next few years at least.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:

SPAYED/NEUTERED

Microchipping

Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia

On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus

Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.

Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough

Two De-Worming

PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .

If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE

www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE

http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD

We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:
Fuzzy Butts Doggy Day Care in Chadds Ford, PA
www.fuzzybuttsPA.com
(I have visited this facility and it is wonderful and reasonable)
