Pretty girl went home to her new parents where she will be their beloved angel. This is what we want for all our "shelter kids" to have parents who will love them forever.

UPDATE from Darling Darla's foster Mom:
Darla is a great pup. She loves children & dogs. She will calm down
easily, especially for a belly rub! She loves to run with my dog in the yard.

She's not a chewer but likes her toys. She doesn't mind being in her crate but hardly needs to go in it because she is so good! Darla is smart and easy to train. She would be a wonderful addition to a family.

Marleen,
She weighs 22 lbs. now. I think her coat is thinning out also. She
doesn't seem so fluffy.

This adorable pup appears to be an English Springer Spaniel with a very thick, fuzzy and soft coat. Darla is the sister to Tokyo and Shayla so we know she is an Akita mix for her coat to look like this.

Darla is the dearest little pup. She is not hyperactive, LOVES to sit outside and watch what ever is going on. She is so happy, very friendly, very loving and she comes running at you with her rear end going sideways. So cute and loveable. She is going to be a good size girl, at least 50 pounds.

Due to her coat, which is not short like most pointer's we will only be able to adopt her to people who are
experienced with long coated dogs.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:

SPAYED/NEUTERED

Microchipping

Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia

On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus

Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.

Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough

Two De-Worming

Puppy Adoption Policies:
* We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time employment is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization, and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time.

* An installed fence is mandatory if there are children in the home. The Invisible Fence companies give a discount to people who adopt from rescues. The fence must be installed before an adoption application will be processed. There are no exceptions to this.

* We will only adopt puppies to people who have had PRIOR personal puppy raising experience. This policy is due to people wanting puppies, then finding out just how much work they really are, and then they return them or worse, drop them off to shelters.

* We also can no longer adopt puppies/dogs to people who have children under (8) years old UNLESS the children have been raised with puppies and dogs all their lives. This policy has been made necessary due to having our pups returned after the novelty wore off. We're told it's because they have been "nipping" at the kids. That is what puppies do and we need to find our pups homes with people who understand and expect this as "normal" behavior.
