ADOPTION PENDING!! I am so very thrilled for my sweet little lady Amy that she met her parents last night. It was a 100% love-fest all the way around. She was nervous at first, sure it's so confusing for all these dogs seeing all these new people wearing masks, but after they took their time, sat on the floor with her, fed her small pieces of meatballs -- she was able to be sure they only wanted to love her.

Her Mom & Dad are even going to get a new fence installed for her safety & enjoyment so it will be a while before that can happen but she is "Going Home" to be the beloved baby girl & start her new life. She's even going to be living nearby here in DE so I'll get to see her & babysit as needed. She will be my #565th adoption since 2-24-2004!

Amy's "Meet Your Match" designation is  Teacher’s Pet -

I’ve got the whole package — smart, four legs, love to learn, and live to please. Go ahead, teach me anything. Sit, stay, balance your checkbook, I can do it all. Keep me entertained, and I’ll be yours forever. **Be sure to look at Amy's videos & photos below**

I’m Amy's foster mom & she is a pure delight! She's very smart, so much so that you can see her thinking & most of all she wants to please. She also seems to love -- love -- love kids which here at LNF makes her a "Bona-Fide Kid Lover!"  She was introduced to several little girls from 8-10 years old & she just wiggled all over with joy & rolled over to give everyone "belly" at meeting them! She actually does lots of wiggling -- she is a true wiggle-butt!

NO KITTIES! I feed birds & squirrels, so I have many of them out front on my lawn. When she comes back from a leash-training session, she really wants to chase them!

She’s truly such a good young lady, and very sweet & friendly & generally comes when I call for her. I would say about 90% of the time. She has had extensive professional training & as stated before, she really wants to please you & tries to figure out what you want from her.

She's just turned 1-year old & she still has lots of puppy in her behavior. She's petite at only 35 lbs. I don’t have children, so I have not been able to test her but given her gentle disposition, I'm sure she'll love kids as much as people -- but she will need to be tested with kids to be sure.

You can see how shiny her coat & very short & very soft! She’s housebroken & she goes to the backdoor to let you know to let her  out to potty. Amy does not want to potty in the house!

Here is a photo of her on my sofa with her girlfriend Reese. She has earned the right to be in my home & on my sofa. She loves other dogs, but given her youth, she can get rough & sometimes she has to be corrected -- which she accepts.

She would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, but it should be with another young playful dog like her -- so they can be buddies. An older, more mature dog would not enjoy her always wanting to play.

What she adores, most of all, are sticks – I put a photo of her in when she is happiest – when she has found “a stick!” When she's out on a training walk or in my fenced-in yard, she's always on a mission to find them. She's such a fun-loving, playful baby girl! The other thing she LOVES is water! When I bring the hose out to clean & fill up the water bowls she loves to play in the water. (There is a video of her showing her joy) & she loves ice as much as water. She stomps on ice & throws chunks up in the air with complete abandon!

If she sounds like the kind of young girl you would like to bring into your life & home, be sure to read our adoption requirements first & if you can meet or exceed them, you can apply online. Both are listed on the left side of our website.

We accept or credit cards & PayPal for the adoption fee.
