About Cooper - Went Home 05! | |

|
Cooper came to us via our friends in Wetzel County, WV and a twist of fate. The fact that he is alive is amazing in itself...the fact that his soul is still so sweet and innocent after his ordeal is even more amazing. This pup, who has been through so much and is so sweet, loving and trusting, deserves a "forever home" - will you be the one?
Cooper was found in a riverbed badly broken after being struck by a car; he endured a painful trip up from the riverbed, and poor Cooper cried out when moved, but never growled or tried to bite. After he'd been given food & water he dragged his broken little self to newspapers to void - such a good dog even in his pain! Dr. Brad Gray of Brandywine Vet Hospital said Cooper has a fracture in his leg, and x-rays show he'd been shot and still has buckshot in him! Little Cooper has been a real trooper through his ordeal, and now this sweet and quiet loving pup is being cared for in one of our foster homes. Cooper's getting total bed rest, and we expect a full recovery for him! Won't you take Cooper into your loving home?
November 10, 2005- from foster mom:
Cooper has been officially pronounced healed and ready to go. He just needs two weeks of walking on a leash and then he's good to go. I am enjoying every minute! Cooper is a calm, friendly and loving wiggle butt. His purpose in life is to be your best friend. He loves everybody, dogs, cats and even the guinea pigs! He loves to play tug o war with my jack russell, Winston, and then settle down for a cuddle and a nap on the couch.
Cooper has had no accidents in the house. He is such a clean little boy! The woman who rescued him said even when he was hurt and couldn't walk, he would CRAWL to the newspaper to go the the bathroom rather than soil the floor.
He walks very well on the leash and listens well. He only wants to please.
Cooper is nothing but a joy to be with!
