UPDATE - Mocha is ADOPTED!  It took 11 applications to find the perfect home & family but we finally have found Mocha's new parents. This picture is him with his new Mommy. He will begin his new life with a very BIG sister Roxy who was just thrilled to meet her new baby brother. Mochie will have Mommy Nichole & Daddy Adam who will take him for very, very long walks daily.

This little charmer has wiggled his way into everyone's heart here at L&F Dog Rescue so it was difficult to see him go but that's our job. They are not ours, we are their guardians until their families find them. Will I miss him sitting on my window sill like a cat watching the birds & squirrels, or when he comes over to say high and sits up like a little prairie dog, or when I shut down for the night, get comfortable on the sofa & there he is spooning me?? Yes, I certainly will, but now he can begin his new life being adored my his new Mommy for he rest of his life. Now he can be what he deserves to be a "Momma's Boy!"  Love you Mochie, we all love you!

When I left today his parents took him for a long walk with his sister Roxy & I saw his tail fanned and happy. I'm truly happy for my little Mocha Nut!  I will miss his dear little face & I know his foster sister Kayleigh will miss their daily wrestle matches that she always wins! I'm sure he will visit his Aunt Marleen & Aunt Sherry soon enough.

UPDATE New Video Below:

This is our mini (11 lbs) Mocha who is about 1 1/2 years old. He seems to be a red long-coated mini-Doxie mix. He really, really loves to go for long walks so he will require someone who shares his passion for walking or running to adopt him.
We will only adopt Mocha to a family that has an established life style in which the family walks daily, he needs this to make him happy. We can also accept a contracted daily dog-walker.  We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

http://www.petsit.com/

After enjoying his walks, he spends a portion of his day sitting like a cat in my window sill (see video below) watching the birds & squirrels with
great interest. We think it would be best not to place him in a home with small creatures as he seems to have a high prey instinct.

Mocha is very sweet, affectionate, happy go-lucky, joyful little guy. He adores playing rough-house with our Kayleigh (video below) they are about the same size, but his real buddy is our Baby Huey who is around 80 pounds. They just LOVE each other and play and play and play. Baby Huey is so gentle with his play since he realizes how little Mocha really is. I can see that while Mocha is a very affectionate and loving boy who loves humans - he also loves to be with dogs. I think he would enjoy having a 4-legged buddy/companion to live with & spend the rest of his life with.

When I put everyone to bed at night at 9:30 PM, I finally sit down on the sofa to watch a few TIVO'd shows, Mocha just curls right up with me. He also LOVES to burrow under the blanket and snuggle up against you. So, if that sounds like the kind of pet you've been looking for, please read our adoption policies & if qualified, you may apply to be Mocha's parent(s)   We will not be placing him with children under 12 years old.

Mocha Man is a sweet, affectionate loving little guy. He's only 11 lbs but he has a lot of love to give. He spent the weekend at Fido Festival -- was married to our Kayleigh and he was a gentlemen the whole time. He met hundeds of people & he wagged his tail and smiled at everyone. I'm delighted that he has such a darling personality. He is a little lap dog and wants to be someone's baby. We do not place small dogs in homes with children under 12 years old. We want him to go to a home where he is someone's baby.

This is our newest little guy who came in from our favorite shelter Wetzel in WV.  He is an adorable, very sweet, very affectionale, Mini-Doxie who has a very soft long-coat with a beautiful fan tail that is always wagging! His owners surrendered him to Rosy because they just could not afford to take care of him.
