This little man went home with his new Mommy today April 3,2004. Boy! Do I love this! This beautiful little blonde baby boy was rescued from the SPCA in Georgetown. DE. Luckily for him, his new Mommy had already been pre-approved for an adoption application. We were just looking for the right match. This is a perfect adoption because Mom is self-employed and plans on taking her new pet to work & he will be sleeping in bed with Mom. He will be with his Mom all the time. Dickens needs someone who can be with him all the time. He is very needy and affectionate. He wants to sit on your lap or near you at all times. He adoption donation fee was used to pay for his heartworm testing, 1st month's heartworm medication, all vaccines and pre-paid neuter certificate. Didn't I say this was a perfect adoption?

Sorry it took so long but here are some pictures of Dickon and one of his buddies.

He's doing great, although he hasn't calmed down any since he was neutered. I'm still hoping.

He loves to play with other dogs and is amazingly gentle with children. He enjoys his walks, going to work everday and playing football every night when I'm so tired I just want to sleep.

He's definitely high energy. He's gained about 10 pounds since April 3rd and has bitten through 2 leashes. Although he has any number of bones, rawhides and assorted chew toys; wood seems to be his munch of choice. I'm considering sawing a 2 x 4 into 6 inch pieces and save myself a lot of money!

I adopted Dickon on April 3rd. He had been resuced from the Georgetown, Delaware shelter a week before.

Although he still has a bad case of kennel cough and a nasty cold, he is improving daily. I don't know what he weighed when I got him but on Fiday I took him to my vet and he only weighs 17 lbs. Has has so much long hair his bony frame is disguised. However his appetite is improving.

He has the sweetest temperment. I really couldn't have asked for a nicer dog.

His adjustment to the house has been pretty effortless. My younger cat is very leery of Dickon but only because he is no longer king of the roost.

He travels well in the car and seems to like going to work with me everyday. He really is a pleasure to have.
