UPDATE: It was a bittersweet day for me, my sweet wiggle butt foster Betsy finally went home. She has been with me a long time, too long, but finally the perfect family came along for her. We're very grateful that her new family decided she needed a brother to play with -- so they also adopted our adorable, twisty eared little guy Razzle!

Razzie has been overlooked at events and on the website -- since he mostly black. We in rescue are always so sad to see our black dog ignored since people are *bored* with black dogs. They only want yellow, chocolate or red. In the meantime black pups and dogs have the highest death rate in shelters across the country. Thankfully they saw in Razzie what we have seen, a darling, extremely affectionate, smart little boy who loves his toys, cats and other dogs --- but his very favorite thing is humans -- he just loves loves all people.

Betsy & Razzle's new parents sadly just lost their beloved dog Mack to a sudden illness. They're of course heart broken, but they felt their home was too empty and they have so much love to give they decided to adopt not one -- but two rescued dogs.

These are the kind of people that we at L&F Dog Rescue adopt to -- people whose life is not complete without a dog(s) in it! I am constantly accused of having "too high standards" -- well, I think not! I personally rescued each of these dogs and I make a life time commitment to find them the best of the best homes.

We're so pleased that our pups have an extended family which includes 2 legged siblings who are also dog lovers and have their own dogs. Now Bets & Raz have cousins, Mom & Dad, a beautiful home, fantastic huge grassy backyard. For me, this is what I call "A very good day in rescue!"

Originally we thought this little cutie was a St Bernard mix pup but now we can see that she has a St mask & color & eyes but that's about as much St as there is in her. She is only 30 pounds and I don't expect her to get any bigger.

We had a dog trainer here, see video below and she said that Betsy is extremely smart and would make a great agility dog. This shows her first dog training & she just wanted to please!

Betsy seems to be an odd looking little beagle and I don't know what else. She has a stumpy tail that is wiggly like her butt - she is a full time wiggle butt, very sweet, very loving, very submissive. She could move into any home that has another dog and get along just great as long as the dog is able to teach her how to be a good little girl.
