UPDATE: It was a bittersweet day for me, my sweet wiggle butt foster Betsy finally went home. She has been with me a long time, too long, but finally the perfect family came along for her. We're very grateful that her new family decided she needed a brother to play with -- so they also adopted our adorable, twisty eared little guy Razzle!

Razzie has been overlooked at events and on the website -- since he mostly black. We in rescue are always so sad to see our black dog ignored since people are *bored* with black dogs. They only want yellow, chocolate or red. In the meantime black pups and dogs have the highest death rate in shelters across the country. Thankfully they saw in Razzie what we have seen, a darling, extremely affectionate, smart little boy who loves his toys, cats and other dogs --- but his very favorite thing is humans -- he just loves loves all people.

Betsy & Razzle's new parents sadly just lost their beloved dog Mack to a sudden illness. They're of course heart broken, but they felt their home was too empty and they have so much love to give they decided to adopt not one -- but two rescued dogs.

These are the kind of people that we at L&F Dog Rescue adopt to -- people whose life is not complete without a dog(s) in it! I am constantly accused of having "too high standards" -- well, I think not! I personally rescued each of these dogs and I make a life time commitment to find them the best of the best homes.

We're so pleased that our pups have an extended family which includes 2 legged siblings who are also dog lovers and have their own dogs. Now Bets & Raz have cousins, Mom & Dad, a beautiful home, fantastic huge grassy backyard. For me, this is what I call "A very good day in rescue!"

UPDATE from Razzle’s foster parents: He wakes up his foster mom and dad with ear kisses, then rolls onto his back and starts wiggling side to side with his tail wagging like crazy. "Rub my belly!" He has had no accidents in the house -- and he is a VERY smart little guy! He is being taught basic commands & hand signals and he catches on very quickly! We love having him here. He's going to make someone very happy when he finds his forever home. Had we not already adopted 3 other dogs, we would definitely want to keep this little guy!

I just LOVE this big little pup! When I talk to him or when he sees me, he comes running over with his rear-end wiggling & his ears all twisty - he is SO CUTE! He always wants to show me how happy he is to see me. He truly loves people. He is very affectionate. I believe he is going to be an alpha male which simply means that we would not place him in a home with another alpha male. He gets along with everyone but when he matures he will want to be the leader of his pack which is his birth right. He can live with any female or a very submissive male.

We rescued these darling pups Razzle & his sister Dazzle - they are shown together below from our favorite shelter in WV Wetzel. As with all our pups/dogs he is already neutered and up to date with all shots & microchipped.

Razzle has shown himself to be a very self confident pup and a leader. He is always the first out the door and the first to start whatever game he has decided the group should partipate in. He is going to be a medium sized pup, no more then 40.

There is a picture below that isn't the best picture of Razzie, there are professional shots below, but this shows the true him! This is his Foster Dad and you can see that Razzie is giving him his full and undivided attention. That's all he wants in the world is to be with people -- he loves people and other dogs and a wonderful bonus is that he is also a BONA-FIDE Kitty Cat Lover!! What a happy, happy pup Razzle is. He is simply full of love and joy 24/7. He sleeps with the kitties in his foster home & even lets them sleep in his crate. He is so joyful that you can't help smiling when he is near.

Razzle has been with us for a few months now and we love him more than ever. He is the happiest little man! He loves all of the dogs and they all love him. And he can't get enough of my cats. He plays with them and sleeps with them. His favorite position is flat on his back with his legs bent up like a frog. It's so cute! He loves to cuddle and sleep with his head on your chest while resting under your arm. He's about 35-40 lbs. and is just the perfect size -- not too big and not too small.

He's a very good watchdog. He sees and hears everything, and his bark sounds like that of a much larger dog. But he only barks when necessary. He is mostly quiet. To meet this dog is to love him. No photo can show the enormous personality of this little guy. And he's very, very smart. He recently taught himself a new "game"; it's called 'Let's lock the other critters in the bathroom'. He learned how to pull the bathroom door shut; he waits until one of the other dogs or a cat goes into the bathroom, then he pulls the door shut behind them. I couldn't figure out how the cats and dogs kept getting stuck in the bathroom.....but then I caught him playing his little game.

Razzle has enough personality for 5 dogs. We have had purebred dogs and we have had mutts, and the mutts -- by far -- have the best personalities and have been the most affectionate. Razzle is the perfect little mutt.
