Notes: Our Michelle or Chelly is very lucky and has already been adopted.
Her new Mommy Ruth fell in love with her face just from her picture on our website. She sent in an application, we approved it and our baby girl is going home on Thursday to start her new life.
Chelly arrived late Saturday night from West Virginia where she had been in a shelter since June.
She had been hit by a car. They knew she was very special and held on to her for as long as they could.
Her time was up though due to severe overcrowding. We feel fortunate that we were able rescue these three dogs.
I wanted to wait until she settled in to tell her that she would be going home very soon. It was as if she
had jet lag because Burton, (now Sarge) Hannah (now Hannah Banana) and Chelly just slept for
the first two days. They are just now starting to open up and play. It is so heartwarming to see
these kids playing at this very moment in the same room I am in … with every toy we have. These
dogs have never lived indoors so everything is brand new to them. Now they are all playing on their first blanket. Chelly has already wrapped herself in the blanket as if it were a coat. We were told that her new Mommy’s dog that passed on did the same thing!
So, now Chelly has a new Mom, and Aunt and her Aunt’s dog Katie to live with. I am thinking this
is going to be a very special Home 4 the Holidays event!
This is what the shelter had to say about Chelly: Notes: Michelle - Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie, Beagle Mix Size: Medium Age: Young Sex: Female
Notes: A vehicle on RT 7 this summer had hit Michelle and required emergency care...she has since recovered from her wounds and is waiting PATIENTLY for adoption. She looks like a sheltie/beagle mix... Michelle is a VERY SWEET, LOVING DOG! Spayed Aug. 2...loves everyone...incl. CATS! Wetzel County Animal Shelter New Martinsville, WV
