5/12/06 Last week I took Harley to our local vet to pick up some medication and one of the vets met him and fell in love with this handsome and well-mannered pup. He is going home today to his new mom, a dad, a little girl and two lab mix puppies, as well as a whole farm of animals for him to guard and protect. We couldn't ask for a better forever family for our beautiful, wonderful, giant baby boy.

5/01 Update: Although Harley does have many ASD characteristics, we believe he is also part lab. He is such a people lover that we don't think he would be happy as a working dog guarding his herd 24/7- he needs to be with his people. Also to get an idea how large he is, see the picture of our 6 month old Harley with our son's girlfriend, or with our other foster dog. This is one giant puppy!

4/22 Update from new foster. Harley just got here, but he hasn't given our cats a second glance, and is only interested in watching the pygmy goats, not chasing them. He's definitely a guard dog not a herding (and chasing) dog. At the Dog Fest and later at the park, it was also clear that he is good with kids. He's a sweet, calm, gentle laid-back dog, but still a baby, and it's important to keep in mind that his guardian traits and dominance behaviors will be maturing as he grows to his big strong adult size, predicted to be 120 pounds. He will only be adopted into an home experienced with ASDs and without a dominant male.

4/14 UPDATE from foster: Harley is such a sweet, gentle boy. He is very laid back and likes to lay around the house where ever I am. He also likes to be outside. He enjoys layin
