We are so happy that Ruby found a new home, we are also happy that her Mom loved her enough to take the time to help her get adopted by another family -- it took a few weeks but she went home today! 11-21-10
Ruby is a courtesy listing -- her family has to move and can not keep her.
Look at Ruby's toetails -- she is waiting for them to dry! Ruby is a beautiful 50 pound dog whose breeds are a big question mark. She is probably some sort of a Corgi, Sheppard, Collie mix. She is very sweet and absolutely loves being around humans. She is a very affectionate dog and an excellent cuddler. Ruby is about a year and a half old and was adopted from a high-kill shelter in California. She had only 8 days left. She has been spayed, has all her shots, and is in excellent health. She also is already microchipped. All medical records can be provided. Ruby is a great travel companion and loves car rides, where she is happy to sleep soundly curled up in a ball for very long stretches of time. She has good manners and has learned sit, down, and is working on stay. She is VERY bright and a quick learner. I have been told she would be great at agility training. She loves attention but is very content to just hang around all day, though she does enjoy a good walk. She has lived with a 7-year-old and 9-year-old and absolutely loves them. She would be very happy to be in a household with children. Ruby has never been tested with cats but prefers to be in a home without other dogs. She is not outwardly aggressive but is much calmer without other dogs around. Ruby would love to be in a home with people who are around a lot. A family with a stay-at-home mom or a recent retiree would be ideal for this loving dog. 10 minutes with her and you'll fall in love, just as I have. Please give this sweet girl a chance to be your beloved family member.
I would be happy to meet with any potential adoptive families to introduce them to Ruby. She also would be adopted with her medical records, crate and other belongings if her new family wanted
