Copper has been adopted ....
We're sorry to disappointment everyone but we are going to reschedule this Mingle with our Mutts until next Saturday 01-29-05, same time, same place: The Concord Pet Store in Hockessin, Delaware from 11am to 2pm. We hope to see you there!
UPDATE: Did we mention that Copper's coat is as soft as velvet, that perhaps one of his parents could have been a rabbit? Did we mention that very sweet, gentle and friendly & that every time you talk to him, he wiggles his butt from side to side? Did we mention he not only adores humans, but kids, and other dogs and cats! He is just perfect!! With his mixture of collie & lab, he is the best of those two breeds.
We found out the real story about poor Cooper. He had been a house pet in WV, which in this area is rare since most dogs live outside all their lives. Then a divorce became pending so he was shuffled outside and only fed every other day. Then the family realized even that was too much trouble so then they returned him to the shelter. He had done nothing wrong except was adopted by the wrong family the first time. We want to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. He is a sweet and darling pup and you would never know that he has had it so hard for these last few months. We feel lucky to have been able to get him here to DE where were sure someone will be thrilled to have a great dog like him.
He will be at our Mingle with the Mutts this Saturday if you would like to see and "FEEL" him in person. He just turned a year old, he's neutered, is up to date with all his shots, on heartworm medication and Frontline Plus. As with all L&F dogs, they are housebroken, & crate trained and live with families so we can be sure of their temperament.
This cutie's life hasn't been easy so far but you would never know it with his sweet disposition. The first picture is on him when he was at the Wetzel shelter, in WV, in July as just a pup. He came in as a stray.
He was adopted but then the family broke up and he was sent outside to live outdoors. He had been a house dog and is housebroken. Then they decided it wasn't fair to leave him outside so they returned him to the shelter.
We're sorry for him, but happy for us because he is an adorable, silly, baby boy who will be here in DE next weekend.
We always say this, but we really, really need to find this baby boy his true "forever home" and are taking applications on him
