Update from MJ's new Mommy:  She's happy as she can be!  She and Edgar played a lot last night.  She has been wonderful.  She went into the crate and slept all night without a peep.  No accidents.  We couldn't be happier with her!  I'm getting ready to take her out for her first walk this morning.  She has an appointment to the the vet tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the pictures.  I'll keep you updated on how she's doing. Update: Our dear little Mary Jane has gone home! She have an active Mom & Dad who walk every day. She has a big brother who is a standard Schnauzer named Edgar. When she arrived today he was truly thrilled. He was running around the house like a young puppy with pure joy. I know they will be great buddies forever.

On the home visit when he saw her come thru the gate he assumed the play position. It was delightful to see them play together immediately! MJ always has the wet beard & so does Edgar. Know her parents will keep her groomed so she looks like a mini-Schnauzer since Edgar is groomed every 6 weeks. It was truly a Happy Day in rescue!

She is very very sweet, very petite (20 lbs) and just too cute, but I don't have to tell you that - you can see that by her pictures. Rosy feels she is a Schnauzer who needs a hair-cut. We don't know about that -- we think she is just perfect the way she is -- could use a little bow in the front but that's it!

She had a bladder infection which we have already treated - she has been brought up to date with all shots & microchipped and spayed.

Mary Jane has a video below. Mary Jane is only just over a year old & just got her first haircut. What she actually looks like is shown below. She never had the opportunity to be a house pet - often the case in WV so she acts just like a very active puppy. She has lots of things to learn & lots of people to meet. She is extremely friendly & submissive.

Mary Jane is so cute as you can see, but she is also full of personality. I love watching her play. She adores toys but is just as happy with a little piece cloth of a former toy. When she finds things she picks them up & carries them around in her mouth as if it's her prized possession.

We would only consider adopting her to someone who is no older then middle-aged so they can all live and love each other and have plenty of energy to take care of this sweet little one. She is NOT a couch potato -- she is very busy bee and wants to play and play and play -- take a nap - and play and play again. She loves running around my back yard chasing our little Jade the yellow lab/golden mix. She tires out Jade.

The more I watch her interact I feel it would be best if she went to a home with another dog to play with. She loves people but since she has a belated puppy-hood I feel that would make her happiest.

Mary Jane, our newest little beauty has come in from our favorite shelter in WV - Wetzel. She was found trying to find shelter in the dead of winter and hid out in an empty building until someone finally caught her & took her to Rosy.
