We know there will be many disappointed families but our darling Ginger has been adopted by a wonderful family.

UPDATE from Ginger's Foster Mommy:
Ginger: Sweet loving and affectionate girl who wags her tail everytime I talk to her and even if I just look at her. Loves to be petted and very well behaved. She loves to lay on her doggie bed and just watch her puppies. Walks well on her leash and is house broken using a doggie door. She has never had an accident in the house and understands that outside is the bathroom. If you don't have a doggie dog, there is no doubt that she would go to the door when she has to go the bathroom. Ginger stays on the first floor with her pups and when the pups are in their cage, I let her have the run of the house. When she comes upstairs she is just looking for me while wagging her tail. When I tell her to go downstairs.....she runs down the steps....she actually understands. She also understands that her name is Ginger which I named her less than two weeks ago. On the second day of her arrival, she responded to her name. She's very smart and if you would want to change her name, she would catch on very quickly to the new name. At feeding time, she sits there waiting and once her pups start to eat out of their bowls, she then goes over to her bowl.....a very caring Mom. When her pups are out of their cage, Ginger will sometimes just go into the cage on her own and lay down....so I think it would be safe to say that she doesn't mind being in a cage.

I personally own two dogs, a female and male samoyed. Ginger wags her tail everytime my male dog enters the room, allows my male dog to smell her pups and allows her pups to run in the yard with him. Ginger also walks around the yard with my male. Since she is very protective of her pups, she doens't like when my female dog is around ....she feels that my female dog may take over her pups. However, my female samoyed doesn't like other female dogsand Ginger may sense this as well. Because of this, I would say that she gets along well with male dogs but I don't think she cares for older female dogs and would not recommend someone adopting her who already has a ALPHA female. Ginger does get along with cats. I had Ginger at my friend's house and she just wagged her tail at the cat and was more interested in checking out my friend's house and being petted by my friend than worry about being around the cat. I don't have children but have had children over to my house to see Ginger and her pups. Ginger likes kids too....she basically likes anyone who pets and talks to her. Ginger is a light cinnamon in color, the hair on her face is very soft while the hair on her body is also soft but thicker for her winter coat. She is not a barker and has a very quiet disposition. Ginger is very loving and would need someone to love her in return. She is a girl who wants nothing more than to please her owner.

This 1 year old, small, only about 40 pounds, beauty came in from West Virginia with her beautiful babies. How could they not be beauties with her as a Mommy? We're not sure what breed she is but her vet has put her at Golden Retriever and Chow-Chow mix.

She is sweet, gentle, calm, and the very, very, very best Mommy in the whole world!! This will of course be her last litter. She will be spayed as soon as the pups are weaned.

She had a horrible, horrible life in West Virginia but you would never know it by her gentle disposition. She and the babies experienced the worst kind of neglect yet she still thinks that humans are worth loving. She has a wonderful cream colored coat the same as her babies and just lovely eyes.

Ginger has been housebroken since the moment she arrived at her foster Mom's.
Mary does have a doggie door which Ginger used it first thing .. then taught her kids how to also use it. The pups are only 7 weeks and they use the doggie door (95%) of the time!

She is up to date with all her shots, heartworm & tick-born illness checked, on Heartworm medication and Frontline Plus. She is crated trained and we can easily say she will make a wonderful companion.
