UPDATE from Teyha's Mommy: The guy holding Tehya was our babysitter for a few hours. We love her and both of my kids have met her and "approve." She slept with my daughter last night. She has seen the vet, is 21.4 lbs (gained a pound in a week) She is really a funny puppy. Thanks for approving her adoption. We have been blessed. I'll keep you up to date. Love, Diane
This pretty baby has been re-named
Tehya (Tay-Ha) which means Precious in Native American. We did receive 12 applications for Tehya but we chose the family that we felt could best meet her special needs. We are so glad that this "shelter baby" will now have the life she deserves thanks to the Welch family.
PLEASE NOTE:
Bonnie is approximately 3 months old, and she is a pretty Mocha colored baby girl. The color of her coat is just stunning. She is seen here with her sister Ava, the blonde, who has already been adopted by her foster family.
Bonnie is an adorable, beautiful little girl. She is playful with other dogs and gets along with cats. She knows what kennel means and is progressing nicely with other commands. We are currently working on her potty training.
Bonnie will ONLY be permitted to be adopted into a home where there is already another young dog that she can play with. She will need that level of comfort. Bonnie is shy, and very dependent on her sister Ava.
Separating her will be difficult for her, so we feel that she will need to have a buddy or two to play with to help her adjust. We do not feel it is in her best interest to be "an only child." Her sister Ava has ALREADY been adopted.
We found this baby Golden Retriever Mix already unwanted and sitting in a cage with her sister at the Georgetown, DE SPCA. The girls have spent their short lives together, with one month of that sitting in a SPCA together in a cage. She has had a rough start but we know the right
family will come along to give her all the love she deserves for the rest
of her life.
She is up to date with her shots and de-wormed. A spay certificate will be required with her adoption.
We do prefer that she is adopted into a family with children who are at least 10 years old.
