Our baby found her parents today at our
"Mingle with our mutts" adoption event.
They already had an approved application and all we needed was to come and meet her and to bring her new big black lab brother to be sure everyone liked everyone, and they did!
We are so happy for our dear little West Virginia girl who will live her life out loved and adored in Dover, DE.
UPDATE from Jody's foster family:
We are still working on house training and leash training. She has been good so far. She is obedient and responds to "no" very well. For example, she jumped on my bed once. I said "No" and she doesn't go on my bed anymore.
She is fairly calm for a lab pup, probably because we play with her a lot and wear her out. She is crate trained and sleeps peacefully in the crate at night. No barking or whining. However, she loves to sleep on our kitchen floor during the day.
UPDATE from Jody's foster family:
The first night has been great so far. She is an absolute angel!! She doesn't bark at all. She met my friend's cat. She follows you everywhere. Kitchen to Living room to wherever you go. She sat at Sean's legs while he was watching the dishes!
She is sleeping peacefully in the crate right now. She is sooooo happy to be here. We gave her a bath and fed her when she go home. She ate a bowl (1cup) of dry food so far. No accidents in the house yet. We took her out a few times to go potty. I included some pictures for now but I will get you better ones tomorrow.

Jody, a fun-loving Yellow Lab 4-month old baby, who has arrived from an overcrowded shelter in West Virginia. In the pictures, she is the smallest girl. She is actually a big, feisty puppy with an abundance of personality, just waiting for that special family to share her joy with. The shelter has told us that she is a goober, just full of zest for life. Jody will probably be a rather large girl when she has finished growing.
She will be up-to-date on all of her vaccines, crate trained and will have a spay certificate provided to her new family.
If you would like to fill out an application for this baby, please register on our website and wait for a passcode to be e-mailed to you. Once you have that information, you can fill out our online application.
