It took over two years to find the perfect home for our shy girl but she has finally found her own family that includes a Mom & Dad & 4 legged sister & brother. We are so happy that she is now ready to live her life as it was meant to be ----------

Lyric has been evaluated by the MYM Program & she is a: Wall Flower

Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom. (Internally motivated)

These sisters are Latte' & Lee-Loo -- Latte' on the left has been adopted by Lee-Loo is still waiting for her turn. They are identical except that Lee's brindle is darker & she mask --
Lee-Loo is shy when she first meets new people -- but she is very easy to win over. She will need to be adopted by someone who is an experienced pet owner. She is very loving but she would do best with someone who has the gift of being able to 100% earn her trust.

We are certain that the girls are mixed with Weimaraner which is very evident with Latte' the lighter one, who has been adopted. She has the Weimer coloring & the light color eyes. Sadly, everyone looks at Lee-Loo & says "She looks like a Pit Bull" & that's b/c some people equate the *color* brindle with Pitty's. We have to  explain that brindle is a color like brown, black or white - it's not a breed. Many dogs have brindle colors such a Great Danes.

As you can see, they look exactly alike just different colors. Lee-Loo has an a very striking orange/gold hue to her brindle. The girls have alway been extremely playful & just love ~  love ~ love all the dogs here. You can see how how sweet & gentle Lyric's eyes are. She is so much prettier in person. We hope we can find the perfect family who will just adore her!

She arrived with her sister Latte' with their foster Mom Mocha after the tornado hit North Carolina. When a natural disaster hits all the animals that are currently in shelters are killed to make room for the "pets" that will be displaced. Rescues like us try to save as many as we can when that happens. We were able to save these babies & their wonderful Mom. They were transported 2 days after the tornado destroyed the area they came from.

There is a picture of their foster Mom who raised them below. Mocha was captured by animal control while she was out scouting food for her litter. She was dripping milk when she was brought into the shelter. Her babies must have died alone since their Mom was not able to make it back to them. Another family had dropped off the puppies to the high kill shelter without their Mom! The shelter staff put the pups (who were not even weaned from their real Mom) & thankfully Mocha started feeding them immediately & raised them as her own. She is the most remarkable young lady. Truly one of my all time favorite girls in the rescue.
