UPDATE: Roggie went home tonight to start his new life with his Mom & Dad. He is such a sweet little cuddle bug we know he will make a wonderful companion.
Mom & Dad are moving into their new home at the end of the month so he will be starting his life over with people who will finally care about him. He came in from Wetzel, our favorite shelter in WV and we know that no one cared about him. He is a very lucky boy since his Mom will be home every day to teach him about life here in Delaware. We're happy for little Roggie!
UPDATE: 10-08-06 --- Roggie met his new Mom at our Mingle with our MUTTS! last week. She didn't come to see him, she came to see Lassie & Cassi, but she fell in LOVE with Rog and the best part was Rog got to "pick" his new Mom. I was told that he kept coming up to her over and over. That is what we want for all our dogs --- they get to pick their new parents from our approved adoption applications. Rog met his new Dad today and it was settled. 100% LOVE FEST all the way around! We are so happy for this sweet boy!!
UPDATE: Roggie has proved to be a delightful & perfect boy. He is calm around humans but extremely playful with his buddies. He wants to please and looks to see what I want or expect from him. He is a very easy boy to take care of! He takes correction easily and will make a wonderful buddy for someone who wants a handsome, on the small side -- only 30 pounds --- kisser boy!
Roggie arrived from WV on our transport 07-29-06. He is a beautiful, small (only about 30 pounds) calm, surprisingly quiet little beagle boy. He is having a great time with all his new friends and plays well with his foster brother and sisters.
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet, gentle dispositions, and are living in foster homes with families. They each have had the following:
Already SPAYED/NEUTERED (pups under 5 months must be prepaid)
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus (as long as they are with us)
Complete series of Distemper, Parvo vaccines and Rabies.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Wormings
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence. The fence must be installed
before we will proceed with processing an adoption application.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website and they have promised to send us a donation to help our rescue work.

We do not adopt our puppies to people who work full-time. Part-time
is OK. We do not believe in leaving infants in crates all day.
We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
