UPDATE: This beauty is on her way home with her new Mom & Dad and rescue sister. We had (8) applications for
Stella but this family turned out to be the family that we are sure would give her all she needs for the rest of her life. It certainly helped that they have already adopted a rescue dog. Also shows how special rescue dogs are that a family would seek to adopt another rescue. Here is a part of their application that we just loved:
What dog/puppy are you interested in: Stella-ADOPTED!!!
Why are you interested in this particular dog?: A yellow labrador retreiver saved my grandfathers life many years ago by pulling him out of a swimming pull by the neck when he was unconcious and drowning. I have not had an opportunity up to this point in my life to own a purebred yellow labrador retriever and am hoping now is my chance. I feel that I owe alot of respect and gratitude to this particular breed of dog.
And we have a lot of respect for people who lovingly adopt rescue dogs and give them the chance on life that they deserve! (YEAH!!)
UPDATE from Stella's foster parents:
Stella is an absolute lovable sweetie! Not one housebreaking mistake this week in the house. She loves to sit totally in your lap. She doesn't realize that at 70 pounds she is not really a lap dog. Ms. Stella is one big beautiful purebred yellow lab. She LOVES other dogs, LOVES all people, LOVES to give big wet kisses to everyone she meets. She is great with kids so she is everything you'd expect a big beautiful lab to be. She will be a great addition to any home.
Everyone who comes to our home to see the other foster "shelter kids"
have a difficult time believing that her former family just threw her outside in a kennel when they didn't have time for her anymore. Just
like a true lab though, she doesn't hold a grudge and her capacity to
love is endless. We don't think Ms. Stella has ever met anyone she didn't like.
Presenting, our Stella! She is a big, beautiful, pedigreed Yellow Lab that will put a smile on your face at first sight! She is a wonderful, snuggly girl that desperately needs to find a family that is going to commit to loving her forever and ever. Poor Stella was given up by her owners because they started having children and no longer had time for her, their first baby. They left her out in the yard day and night, through the rain, snow and freezing temperatures because she was no longer a priority for them. Now, this poor outcast will have a new lease on life. Lost and Found is committed to finding her a home with people who will adore her for the rest of her days. Could that be you?
Stella really is such a gorgeous dog, both inside and out. She is just as friendly and sweet as we all expect a Lab to be. Stella loves to give sweet smooches, is always looking for a cuddle, and just enjoys being close to you.
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions,
have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
First month supply of HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
Spay/Neuter certificate, where applicable.
No dog 6 months and up will ever leave L&F Dog Rescue without being spayed/neutered. Spay/Neuter is MANDATORY.
If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.
