About Savannah/Went Home 4 The Holidays! | |

We are so happy for Savannah! Her Mom found that couldn't have her when she moved from FL or PA but thankfully for all involved she was able to make arrangements to keep her after all. She is Going HOME where she belongs!
This is our newest girl Savannah, she is a young medium sized Collie mix. Her Mom adopted her when she was a puppy & they recently drove all the way from FL to PA. Her Mom was heartbroken to find that she was not permitted to stay where they moved. She had to board at the Concord Vet Hospital in Chadds Ford PA & they called us to see if we could help get her adopted.
I went to meet her & what a cutie!! She is sweet & extremely friendly to people but we have found that she is "selective" in who she likes as far as dogs are concerned. She is in foster care & gets along with her foster sister & has STOPPED chasing the cat --- never to harm but REAL interested -- but she does bark at other dogs when she is out walking on leash. That usually means she may have been attacked in the past & due to feare she has an attitude that she wants dogs to know they are not going to hurt her again.
In this case, Savannah would have to be adopted to someone who understands what she has been through & is willing to give her time to adjust. In time she may be fine meeting new dogs out in public or .............. she may not. Experienced Pet Owner Only!
She's was so sad & confused at having lost her Mom but the wonderful thing about dogs (I think) is they have an endless supply of love. She is ready to have new parents & we know she will be a great companion.
As with all LnF Dog Rescue dogs she is up-to-date with all shots, spayed, microchipped, housebroken & crate trained. If interested please read our adoption requirements carefully & if qualified you can apply online at this website.
