UPDATE from Eric's foster Mom: Eric is a 8 month old terrier/lab mix and is Milli and Tucker’s brother. Eric however seems calmer than his sibs. He is content sitting in the yard chewing on a puppy bone but also likes to run around with the other dogs. He bounces when he runs – it is so much fun to watch him play! Eric is housebroken and while he will try to pick up anything you drop on the floor, he is not interested in chewing it - he just wants to know what it is. Such a curious little guy! He is also very affectionate but rather than sit with you on the couch (if allowed), he would rather sit at your feet. He loves belly rubs, treats and gets along wonderfully with all of the other dogs. This little one is a keeper for sure and the family who adopts Eric will have a lifetime of immeasurable joy added.

He is not a hyper pup, just a happy go lucky little boy and I'm so glad we were able to get him out of the Georgetown, DE SPCA. He has been neutered on 07-27-05 and is ready to go home!

If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:

SPAYED/NEUTERED

Microchipping

Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia

On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus

Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.

Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough

Two De-Worming

No dog 6 months and up will ever leave L&F Dog Rescue without being spayed/neutered. Spay/Neuter is MANDATORY.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where no one will be home all day. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hour alone.

If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE

www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE

http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD

We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:
Fuzzy Butts Doggy Day Care in Chadds Ford, PA
www.fuzzybuttsPA.com
(I have visited this facility and it is wonderful and reasonable)
