UPDATE: Our little June found her family today. We pulled this tiny girl out of our favorite shelter in WV - Wetzel two weeks ago today. Rosy assured me she was a really good dog and she is always right.
June and her son Beaver had been dumped it seemed because suddenly they appeared together running from house to house trying to find someone to help them. They kept being shooed away.
Beaver was adopted right away but Mommy had to wait until we could get her out of there. Now she is a happy girl because she will never be unwanted or unloved again. We are so happy for our little one!
UPDATE from June's Foster Mom:
Our new little girl (only 27 pounds!)June comes in a small package but good things come in small packages right? She is the sweetest little thing and while she seems a bit scared at times, she has adjusted very well to her foster home and to the rest of the ?gang?. She is just so gentle; when she looks at you with those soulful eyes of hers, she just melts your heart. It is obvious to me that at one time she had people in her life because she wants to be near people but she is not the type of dog who demands your attention or jumps up on you to get you to notice her. She very quietly comes and sits by your side and waits. She is so well behaved and so sweet ? she stands at the gate and watches your every move. There is something very poignant about this little dog. She would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a lower energy dog; one who would be content just to sit by your side and be your friend. This is the most precious little dog and she deserves nothing less than the safety and comfort of a loving home and family. Please come and meet June at our next Mingle with Mutts which is September 17th. For specific details check the web site for upcoming events.
June has arrived from our favorite shelter in West Virginia, Wetzel. Rosy has told me that she is just the most special little girl and who ever adopts her will very lucky indeed. Rosy is always right!
June is only 30 lb full grown and she and Beaver are both excellent dogs! According to Rosy she is so well behaved, patient and eager to please people which is always a nice trait! She does great with other dogs and cats and she is very submissive sweet dog.
June was dumped with her little boy Beaver who has since been adopted. They were in "town" where they ran from home to home for several days before being brought to the shelter. People just kept "shooing" them away.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE
www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE
