UPDATE: We are so happy to report that we found the perfect home for little Jamie. Her new Dad is arriving from MD on 09-02-05 to take his new baby girl home. He is so devoted to making her happy that he is even taking off (1) week from work to spend with her.

I am very pleased to say "It was a VERY GOOD day in rescue!" He also promised to send an additional donation to Rosy to help her shelter. Now that is really nice!

Jamie will be arriving with an approved adoption application on 08-28-05 from our favorite shelter in West Virginia, Wetzel.

Cute little female, about 1 yr. old, quite friendly. Was thrown out at the fairgrounds and ran for about a week before she would trust someone enough to touch her. Jamie still gets nervous around lots of people and "loud crowds". She has adapted quickly to the shelter and sticks around of her own choice now! Sweet little girl. Approx 20 lb, full grown.

If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:

SPAYED/NEUTERED

Microchipping

Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia

On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus

Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.

Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough

Two De-Worming

PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .

If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE

www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE

http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD

We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:
Fuzzy Butts Doggy Day Care in Chadds Ford, PA
www.fuzzybuttsPA.com
(I have visited this facility and it is wonderful and reasonable)
