UPDATE: Pretty little girl Cher and her brother Sonny were both adopted together yesterday. They both have wonderful new parents who we know will give them all the love and attention they deserve. And Chas is meeting her new Mom today. They all came from the same shelter, all going home the same weekend and because they were all adopted we're leaving today to meet another transport from WV! It was a GOOD DAY in rescue!
This is our approximately 3 month old darling black lab mix pup Cher. She is sweet and about as opinionated as the other Cher! She is always bossing around her brother Sonny. She is extremely friendly and comes running at you with her tongue stuck out ready to give you a million kisses! She is just filled with joy and loves her life here running around all day with her brother Sonny and foster sister Sara.
We just had them to the vet for their shots and de-worming and she came in at 19 pounds. I believe she will turn out to be medium to large dog. She and Sonny are scheduled to be spayed/neutered at the Kent
County SPCA in DE on 09-22-05.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you have children, then a fence is mandatory. It can be a physical fence or Invisible Fence. The IF company does offer a substantial
discount to people who adopt rescue dogs.
If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
