So sad to report our dear little one passed away July 4th due to the medical problems she had with her heart when she came to us. She gave great joy to her foster Mom and Sister Maryann & Kate Bishop. We had her for one full year - we certainly wish it had been more!

This tiny little old girl (9 pounds) was thankfully captured by animal control in Delaware. She was walking the streets all alone. She was very thin 7.7 pounds and her medical condition was questionable. Thankfully one of our volunteers Joyce was at the Stanton SPCA and found her and brought her into the rescue.

As it turns out she has a level 4 heart murmur and is experiencing congestive heart failure. We have spent close to $500 in tests and medication to keep her going. She could live 6 months or a few years, we really don't know.

Our rescue has provided long term foster homes for several seniors who end up in shelters. We can then allow them to spend the rest of their lives with us. We do not expect to adopt her since her life span is so short but we would love to have sponsors to help defray our costs if possible. We can accept donation thru our PayPal account which is linked on our website. NO donation is too small.

Rosalita has turned to be the cutest, funny, most loving little creature. She has a great spirit and walks around bossing her foster sisters around. Raven is a greyhound and Yana is a 60 pound pit bull mix -- yet Rosalita does not seem to realize she only weighs 9 POUNDS! She has the heart of a lioness -- we just wish it were not so sick.

She is in foster care with our very special Foster Mom Mariann & daughter Kate who allows the seniors to live their life out with them. That is a very
special calling, the ability to give all your love to a homeless senior so that they can take their final breath in our arms rather alone alone and terrified in
a shelter.
