Johnny Doe - Adopted! needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
About Johnny Doe - Adopted! | |

PLEASE NOTE: Please read our adoption policies before applying for a puppy or dog.
This sweet boy approximately 1 year old lab is currently residing at Williams Dog Training School. They found "Johnny Doe" running down route 9 in traffic in front of the doggie school. So they took him in & put up flyers, called local shelters but no one responded.
He is a typical lab full of energy. He likes other dogs and cats, but hasn't been tested with children yet. He has never had a bad day, he's always happy and eager to please. They are in the process of training him now
so he will be completely trained knowing all his basic commands and
walk well on a leash for his new adoptive family!!
He weighs about 75 lbs so he is a good size lab. He loves to fetch and play. He would make a great addition to any active household.
If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
All adoptions include:
One month of free Shelter Care insurance
2 free weeks of Pooper scooper service provided by DE Pooper Scoopers
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Invisible Fence IF there are children in the home.
We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE
www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE
http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD
We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:
