Our pretty girl met her new parents today and it was a love-fest all the way around. We are very happy that Kayla will now have a family who will love her forever.
PLEASE NOTE: We do feel that ANY of our labs would enjoy having a fenced in property to run and play in with their families.
Hello, my name is Kayla. I am a 68 lb., 14-month old female black Lab who loves to play fetch, swim, run, and have my belly rubbed (I don't understand why that can't go on forever!). I also LOVE to take car rides. I like other dogs and people and I am VERY friendly. I give plenty of kisses!! It appears as if I have taken obedience training as I know most hand and voice commands.
I am a good watchdog, have been spayed, and I am up to date with my shots. My previous owner loved me, I know he did. He moved to a place where he said they wouldn't let me be with him. So, he sent me to live with my foster parents because he said he knew they'd help find me a great home with people who
will love me forever.
Update from Kayla's foster parents: Kayla is SO good. She's calm (I know, surprising for a lab) and so well behaved. She does not need to be in a crate as she is completely house trained and not the least bit destructive. As long as she has her toys, she's content to just lie on the floor close to you. She sleeps through the night and you can expect to be woken with kisses in the morning. She gets along very well with her canine playmates here and is quite curious about the feline playmates we have for her.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
