ADOPTED!  We at LnF Dog Rescue are thrilled to announce that our little baby girl Dixie was finally found by her new parents. She's getting a new Mom & Dad & 2 - 2 legged siblings -- she'll be starting her new life in VA which a long way from KY!

According to our "Meet Your Match Program" Dixie is:
Constant Companion Looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? I am all you need. Let me sit at your feet, walk by your side, and I’ll be your devoted companion forever. (Socially motivated)
When I first saw Dixie in the kill shelter in KY, I thought she was puppy because she is so tiny coming in at a whopping 9 ½ pounds, but when she arrived I found that my Vet thinks she is actually about 2 years old. I’m not positive but given the shape of her body & very short legs I think she is a Mini-Doxie & Terrier.  She’s very sweet, friendly, loves to cuddle and bestows butterfly kisses to anyone who gets close enough.
Dixie has a spunky personality which includes running around chasing the big dogs & giving them a piece of her mind -- but she gets along with all of her foster siblings. Given her tiny size, if she is adopted to a family with children they must be at least 12 years old.
As with all LnF dogs, they live in a foster home with our family, guaranteed to love people with gentle & sound dispositons, get along well with other dogs, are all fully vetted with all their necessary shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for Heartworm/Lyme, wormed, crate & house trained.

 * It is our opinion that Senior’s Citizens - anyone 62 & up -- should consider adopting senior or more mature dogs. Everyone wants pups & young dogs, but our abandoned mature & senior dogs need families who know they still have lots of love to give & deserve a chance to live out their Golden Years in a loving home.
A minimum 4 foot high fence is always mandatory – there are NO  exceptions to an installed physical fence & we do not accept any type of electric fence.
