ADOPTION PENDING! So very happy to report that Margaux is being adopted but the double bonus is her new family also wants to adopt her real sister Heidi -- I'm very happy for my little KY ladies to be able to start their new lives being loved & together for the rest of their lives!

Margaux went on a weekend play date & this was the report we received:  Margaux is a DOLL!

She has shown me so many interesting things over the last 24 hours.  Did you know....

  - She pees and poos with her right foot up off the ground!?

  - She fetches like a champ!  Runs like the wind!

 - She kisses by rubbing her snout on your face rather than licking.

 - She full out begged for food only once while I was eating fruity cheerios this morning.  She must like the smell.  She wanted to try to crawl up on my lap and kept pawing at me.

 - She and Ellie are asleep in each other's beds right now.

Margaux & Heidi are real sisters, Heidi’s photo is below with Margaux’s. They came in from a very high kill shelter in KY. They are about 1 year old & Heidi is currently 26 lbs but she came in horribly emaciated & I’ve managed to put some weight on those bones but I feel she needs to gain another 4-5 lbs to be at her optimum weight.  My Vet feels that Margaux may have some Vizsla in her breed due to the red color & stubby tail which has begun to WIGGLE along with her whole body now that she is finally happy.

When they arrived from KY they couldn’t even walk on a leash & had to be carried for several days (good thing they are small!) because they were just frozen with fear. Now that several weeks have gone by & as their Foster Mom,  I’ve had the joy of watching them come out of their shell & begin to play. I’m sure they are playing for the first time in their lives, with each other & their foster siblings.  Took close to a month for them to feel safe. Due to their previous abuse (they are NOT fear biters in any way) it would be best if they are adopted into a family that has had shy dogs in the past & it would also be best for them to have a quiet home life. They do not have to be adopted together.

If interested in meeting either of them be sure to read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed you can apply at our website.
