Summer has been adopted! It only took (20) adoption applications to find the perfect family for our Summer but we finally her family found her. She's going to have her own Mom & Grandparents. Her new Mom works at Doggie Day Care & will be able to take Summy to work with her. That is perfect for Summer since she is an Aussie mix with LOTS of energy & does best if she's kept busy. I'm very happy for my pretty little girl that finally it's HER turn to go home! Great day in rescue!! Summer will be my 501st adoption since 2-24-2004.

Summer is a young, medium-sized, under 40 lbs Aussie mix.
She has had basic training & leash manners but she must be adopted to someone who has experience with dog training
She's an adorable young girl who just bubbles with personality. Her family in KY couldn’t take care of her anymore so we’re very glad to have her here with us at LnF Dog Rescue. She is very sweet & loves everyone & especially loves all her foster siblings. She was kept on a "runner" her whole life so she needs someone who can walk & interact with her throughout the day. Hope to find her a family that works from home or only part-time & who wants to adopt a partner to spend your time with -- a sweetie like Summer.
If she is left alone in a crate too long she starts to pace which is a habit she picked up being left on a runner. As with most of my rescued dogs -- she requires an experienced dog owner.
Summer loves her toys but her favorite thing above ALL else is swimming. We have several kiddie pools here & she is always the first in & the last to get out. She just sits in the water & even puts her face under water. So it would be great if she could be adopted into a home that has a pool or at least a family that is willing to buy her own pool. She is super affectionate & loves to also get some sofa & chair time – she doesn’t care which --- just as long as she can quietly sit on the sofa/chair & share time with her foster family watching TV. Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested, live in foster homes ~ All pups/dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) crated trained, have had basic training ~ Guaranteed to still love people & get along with other dogs ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication & Flea/Tick year round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ de-wormed twice.
