I'm so very happy that my beautiful little Dazzle met her new Mom's today and her little mini-sister Cali who is also a rescue from TN & finally went home to begin her new life.
Dazzie did her "pleased to meet you greet" with both her Mom's - but that is not always the case. She has abuse issues & is afraid of *some* people. She could only be adopted to someone who had previous experience with the special needs of a girl like Dazzle. Her little sister has the same coloring & sweetness that Dazzie has. I think we've made a great match for the sake of everyone - the most important being Dazzle. Some fence repairs need to be made but then she is going off to Downington PA to start her life as Connie & Sherri's beloved daughter & Big Sister to Cali. For me, a GREAT DAY in rescue!
PLEASE NOTE Dazzle's Special Needs: UPDATE: Dazzle is a real beauty. She is as you can see in her new picture always smiling. She is so pretty, fun loving, sweet and submissive BUT she is afraid of "some people" since she came to us abused. I know it's hard to believe that puppies could already been abused but it's true. Once she knows you are there to love her she is a loving little creature but she must be adopted into a family that has had prior experience with abused dogs and know how to gain the trust of dogs. They do come around, but they need a quiet and loving atmosphere. NO CHILDREN under 12 years old.
When she trusts you, which is easy with just getting down on the floor and inviting her over - and you talk to her she rolls over to give you her belly. She has a soft and gentle spirit and loves to play and play and play. She is housebroken and crated trained. She has already been spayed, up-to-date with shots, microchipped.
Dazzle prefers to be more direct with her love. She will come running when called, and if not will always be close by waiting. She is getting good with SIT, especially when treats are involved. She likes squeaky toys. She likes to sit under my feet when I'm on the computer. She is very loving and affectionate.
This adorable little baby is our Dazzle. We believe she is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel MIX & some other unknown breed. She is extremely sweet, very submissive, gentle & loving infant. We rescued her from our favorite shelter in WV Wetzel with her brother Razzle (shown below) but we are not adopting them together. Unlike her brother, she is very tiny, shouldn't be more then 20 pounds full grown.
