UPDATE from Bailey's Grandmom: The last few days I finally had to accept that my babies, my (5) surprise puppies from our dear Honey were really going to be adopted. I've been very upset, very sad and very teary.

I went along with Lisa (against my will) on the home visit for Lily and found that (as Lisa had promised) a wonderful young couple wanted to make our baby -- their baby.

When we arrived, her Mommy took her out of Lisa's arm and had a million toys, two beds, a big soft, stuffed animal which could be her other "mommie mom" and a wonderful new "den" for her to sleep in next to Mommy & Daddy's bed.
I realized Lisa had found the perfect home for my little one. She is the one I was most afraid of losing when she was first born. She was not only the smallest but she just didn't seem to have the roundest her siblings had. It seemed that she took a lot longer to start breathing then the other pups had. She was long and skinny and they were like little cherubs.

Looks like I put myself through all that pain for nothing because her Mommy & Daddy proved to me that she will be their beloved baby girl for the rest of her life. Thank you Heather & Todd for giving our first baby to go home --- the best home we could have ever imagined for her!

UPDATE from Bailey's Mommy:
We have decided to name her Bailey and wanted to thank you soooo much for delivering our bundle of joy!!! WE are SOOOO happy! She passed out about 20 minutes ago in her crate. I gave her the medicine after you left and she did wonderful! She cried little while we were in the kitchen, but then Todd went into the living room and laid on the floor with her to play. She warmed up and started racing from the LV room to her food dish. It was soooo funny!! She runs crocked with her little back legs sideways kinda. She'd run to the dish then stop and the one time she kinda slid around and surprised herself! She was being so adorable and feisty! She went to her crate by herself and seems sound asleep. OH-she just had a long cough/wheeze that put Todd & I both at her side but she didn't want to wake up for it and seems to be breathing fine. She finally opened her eyes to look at us and then went back to sleep. I hope the antibiotics cure the cough soon. I'd hate to drag her to vet before necessary with her shots on Monday.
Well, I will send you more photos- but I have to send some to family now. Hope you guys had a good drive back. Thank you again!!! We love her!!!!
Heather & Todd

Our beautiful Lily has now been spoken for. Her new Mom and Dad have assured us that she will be their baby and we truly feel that she will have a wonderful life with them. It will hurt to see her go, but we know that she is going to have what every dog deserves--a loving forever home!

We are now (barely) ready to start to think about finding PERFECT homes for Honey's babies. They will be 8 weeks old this coming Monday and we know that it is time to begin the search, but we are very attached to them.

This is Lily, the smallest of the litter. What she lacks in size, she makes up for in personality. She is boisterous and sassy, always looking for your attention. You will give it easily, as she is just a beautiful little pup. All of these babies are well-socialized and ready to make their new PERFECT families very happy.

Please understand that these babies will absolutely not be placed into homes where no one is home all day. Puppies need lots of love and attention and our pups will only be adopted into families where they will receive that in spades. We also require that the puppies new homes not contain children under the age of 8. We know that children (both canine and human) can sometimes be unpredictable, and, while there is no sweeter picture than a child and a puppy, in reality, it can be quite a challenge. If your children are aged 8 and up, and have previous dog experience, we will consider your application on a case by case basis.

You will be able to meet all of Honey's pups at the Mingle with the Mutts event at the Concord Pet Store in Hockessin this Saturday, March 26th from 11-2.

If you would like to fill out an application for Lily or any of Honey's pups, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.
