KY Mollie has been adopted & is so lucky to have her very own loving Mom & Dad & 4 legged sister. Now their familiy is complete! Mollie is our 466th adoption since LnF was founded 2-24-2004

Mollie is: Goofball - I’m a fun-loving, happy-all-the-time, glass-is-half-full kind of dog looking for someone who loves to laugh and play around. Must have a great sense of humor and some time to spend with me. I’m a dog on a mission to please you.

Mollie came from a very poor rural area in KY -- thus KY Mollie. Her young life, she's about 18 months old, has been nothing less than a horror. She came into a kill shelter with a ghastly embedded collar (photo below) which means someone put a collar on her when she was a puppy & as she grew they never replaced it. She was in total agony. Her neck will always be scarred but thankfully her spirit is not. I'm listing her mixed breed as German Shepherd & Husky --she actually YODELS & makes all kinds of adorable sounds as  her way of communicating with everyone! As you can see she looks like a miniature GSD, it’s unusual for a GSD to only be 40 lbs!

We know she was chained up outside probably her who life  because the tips of her ears have several scars from flies eating her flesh. It's called "fly blown" and you can imagine the pain & powerlessness that she experienced. Yet when she was finally rescued & taken to a Vet even in pain she never attempted to nip or bite anyone.  That proves what a great disposition has has because she showed she was grateful to have been saved & that people were helping her. Rescued dogs are always grateful their entire lives!

It took a full month but finally her horrible wound has finally healed. She is now well enough to debut & become available for adoption. She's young, gorgeous, sweet, funny, bubbly personality, petite. She is like a joyful puppy – full of wonder &  everything is new to her. I adore her spirit & I know whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will enjoy loving her & being loved by this beautiful little girl! Mollie will become a wonderful family member for life!

* It is our opinion that senior’s citizens - anyone 65 & up -- should consider adopting senior or more mature dogs 3-4 years & up. Everyone wants pups & young dogs, but our abandoned mature & senior dogs need families who know they still have lots of love to give & deserve a chance to live out their Golden Years in a loving home.

A minimum 4 foot high fence is always mandatory – there are NO  exceptions to a physical fence & we do not accept any type of electric fence.

She is now available for adoption at www.lnfdogs.org
