Many rescues/shelters do, but we do not, or ever have, charged “higher adoption fee" for puppies, young, cute, fluffy, small dogs or purebred pups/dogs. Our adoption fee is the same for all our rescued dogs & pups. We also accept all major credit cards & PayPal
We adopt in NJ PA MD VA & DE within a 2-hour radius one way from our location in New Castle DE 19720. We always do a home visit & bring the dog to their new home
Our dogs are rescued from KY so puppies are held in quarantine for 3-weeks to be sure they do not have Parvo & adult dogs 2-weeks. They are not available for adoption until our Vet gives them a 100% clean bill of health. If there are, or ever have been, any medical issues it’s revealed on their webpage on our website
Upon request, we can put you in touch with a few of our adopters, which is #536 at this time, to check our references
All receive a full medical exam with above average necessary shots, tested for Heartworm/Lyme, spayed/neutered & microchipped BEFORE adoption which is the law in DE. You’ll receive a hard-copy of all their paperwork
All live in a foster home & with an approved adoption application that is where you will meet them
Once you have a met our pup/dog you are given 48-hours to really think it over so you are positive this is the dog you want to bring into your home & life forever
All have been house-trained & crate trained, puppies are paper trained
All have received professional basic training, including leash manners
All are temperament tested & there is always an honest appraisal of their disposition. You’ll know everything about them, what their strengths are & what they still need to work on. No surprises.
All are guaranteed to be dog-friendly. If you have a dog you bring the dog here to meet our dogs & we can tell immediately if they are going to like each other. If not, it does happen, they are like people & can dislike another dog on sight, if that’s case, don’t worry we have lots more for you to meet.
All pups/dogs are fully groomed & always go home looking & smelling great!

All my adopted rescues dogs are welcome to come back to stay with me while their parents are on vacation. I do charge $25 a day to babysit. They love coming back to see Uncle Jerry & Aunt Marleen but are happy to go back home when it's time.
We try to have an open-house “Mingle with our MUTTS” adoption event every few months which gives you an opportunity to meet as many as you’d like at one time in a home setting
