EXTREMELY URGENT ---
"We as a nation have been killing animals as a form of birth control for over 100 years ... think it's time we come up with a better plan??"  Quoted by Zella Anderson

Collin - L&F's sweet Blue Tick Coonhound Puppy would be dead now
if we had not gotten him out of the shelter
Purdee#2
We in rescue live with these facts every day.
The only way to truly help puppies & dogs from dying in shelter's is to adopt/foster/donate to help get everyone of them spayed/neutered. That is the only way
we can break the cycle of death.

We just LOVE LOVE LOVE our hounds here at L&F Dog Rescue

You would too if you met them in person! They have the softest hearts & ears we have every felt. They're sweet, docile, loving wiggle butts --- each and every one of them!

Puppies/Young Dogs in High-Kill Shelter's
need Foster Guardians to live --
Could you provide a "temporary" foster home to an unwanted, homeless puppy/young dog knowing that would save it's life and
YOU had the deciding vote in whom
the new adoptive parents are?

As part of the Lost and Found Dog Rescue organization, you become an important decision-maker when it comes to deciding on the perfect forever-home for your foster puppy or dog.  It is a truly rewarding feeling to know that your knowledge of the puppy or dog in your care will be taken into consideration when determining which potential adopter will provide the best home.

What if you could give the most precious gift - the GIFT OF LIFE - to a homeless puppy/young dog?
Together we can make a difference.
It's your choice - choose
LIFE!

We could save so many more puppies & dogs if we had YOUR help.
If we had just 1-2 additional qualified foster homes,
we could save the lives of 2-4 dogs a month.

It is as simple as that!

WE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING !!!!

Oh, I could NEVER do that! I could NEVER give up the puppy or dog! Well, we know how you feel, because we all felt the same. Admittedly, it is not painless when you give up a puppy or a dog; you do cry, and you miss them. But the pain disappears when you get another new dog or puppy to work with.
The pain is fleeting compared to the wonderful feeling of knowing that YOU truly saved a dog or puppy's life.

Could you foster a homeless dog/pup if … YOU knew that every time a puppy or dog is adopted, that allows us to go to the SPCA, and save more lives?

Basic Questions and Answers on Fostering:

WHAT IS A FOSTER HOME?
A good foster parent provides a temporary home for puppies or an adoptable adult dog that needs a little "extra care" before going to their new home.

LENGTH OF FOSTER PLACEMENT
Fostering is a minimum of (2) weeks and averages (4) weeks. On occasion, it could take longer. Thanks to Petfinder though, it does not take as long as it use to!

ARE THERE EXPENSES?
No! Lost and Found Dog Rescue furnishes all the crates, toys, leashes, collars, and food. You just supply the love and comfort to our "Shelter Kids".

WHAT IF THE FOSTER DOG/PUP NEEDS VETERINARY CARE?
If you feel your foster pet needs veterinary care, just call LOST & FOUND immediately. We will arrange for the animal to be seen by our vet at our expense.

Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with
slobbery puppy breath and felt the love,
Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms
and felt their pain,
until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog
and felt their wisdom,
You will never understand the life of a rescuer.

We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces.  It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within.
We are Rescue."
